Dragonbane Monsters

 OD&D to Dragonbane Conversion

Armor Value=9-AC. AC 8 – leather (1) AC 7 – studded (2) AC 5 – chain (4) AC 3 – plate (6) etc.

Hit Points= HDx10, +/- 2 per modifier. Eg ½=5, 1-1=8, 1=10, 1+1=12, 2=20, 2+2=24, 3=30, 3+1=32, 4+1=42, etc.

Damage is usually about double, likewise.

Hideous servants of demonic chaos, it’s rumoured they were born from the mating of demons and goats, but now are self-sustaining. Creatures impregnated by Goatmen give birth to more Goatmen in an endless cycle.

ATTACK

Goat Charge! The goatman lowers its head and rushes toward an adventurer, hoping to butt them with its horns. The victim suffers 2D8 bludgeoning damage and is knocked down.

Cleaving Chop! The goatman swings its weapon over its head and brings it down with full force. The attack inflicts weapon damage (2d8) plus an extra D6 for STR, and can be parried.

Sweeping Attack! The goatman bleats and sweeps its weapon in a wide arc, hitting everyone within 2 meters (including any allies). The attack inflicts weapon damage (2d8), and can be parried.

Goat Leap! The goatman jumps high in the air and comes crashing down on an adventurer, who suffers 2D8 bludgeoning damage and is knocked down.

Ogre, Man-Sized (NPC)

Heroic Abilities: Robust x3
Typical Weapons: Two-Handed Axe, 2D10+1D6 STR slashing, or Heavy Warhammer 2D10+1D6 Blunt
These ugly brutes stand the height of a man, but are far broader and stronger (STR 18). They are known to crave the flesh of Kin, especially Elves, Halflings, and Humans.
 
Ogre, Giant
Ferocity: 2  Movement: 14  Size: Large.
Armor: Scrap Armor 3 AP   HP 50   Weapon: Giant Morningstar
Attacks:                                   
1 - Smash! the ogre swings its giant morningstar overhead in order to try to crush the target player character. The impact inflicts 3D8 points of Bludgeoning damage. This attack can be parried or evaded.
2 - Headbutt! In one swift motion the ogre picks up the target character and headbutts him/her in the face. It inflicts 2D6 points of Bludgeoning damage. This attack can be evaded but not parried. The victim must roll vs CON or else suffer a random Condition from the headache.
3 - Thrown Rock! picking up a sizable rock from the ground, the ogre hurls it at a target up to 30 meters away, inflicting 3d6 points of Bludgeoning damage. This attack can be evaded but not parried, unless the target is using a shield to do so.
4 - Ogre Throw! The ogre lifts a character over its head and tosses the victim like a rag doll 2D6 meters in a random direction, inflicting an equal amount of bludgeoning damage. The victim lands prone. This attack can be dodged.
5 - Uppercut Smash! With an upwards swing the ogre hits the target character with the morningstar, inflicting 2D8 points of Bludgeoning damage, and sending the target flying 1D6 meters away, landing and suffering an equal amount of Bludgeoning damage. The victim lands prone. This attack can not be parried, but it can be evaded.
6 -  Sweeping Attack! With surprising speed the ogre sweeps its morning star in a deadly attack. All player characters within 2 meters suffers 2D8 points of Bludgeoning damage. The attack can be evaded.

Zombie (NPC)
Movement: 4 Damage Bonus: STR +D6
Typical Armor: 0 HP: 12, but takes half from blunt & piercing damage.
Skills: Brawling 10
Typical Weapons: Bash, 1d6+1D6 STR blunt, Blunt Object D8+D6 blunt
The living dead shuffle forward slowly to the attack. Clumsy, but with near-superhuman strength (STR 16), they can be dangerous in numbers, or to those without the right weapons. Zombies never Parry or Dodge.

Living Fire (from Discord, not mine)
Ferocity: 2
Size: Large Movement: 12
Armor: — HP: 20
The living fire movement does not trigger free attacks from anyone.
Resistance: Takes half damage from nonmagical weapons damage.
Immunity: Fire cannot do damage to the living fire

Attacks
1 Flaming grip.  The   creature hurls its body, slamming through a player character within 2 meters   of it, dealing 3d6 damage to them.
2 Fire Blast. The living fire shoots fireballs from its fingertips, dealing 2d10 damage to an player character within 10 meters of it.
3 Eruption. The creature's body erupts, spreading heat and fireballs over everything within 6 meters of   it, dealing 2d6 damage to anything in its range.
4 Embrace of flames. Living fire spreads through the air enveloping all of its prey, the flames are so hot that all everyone get sick
5 Draconian Form. The living fire metamorphoses into the appearance of the dragon   that originally created it, causing a terrible blaze. The dragon's hatred and   might can be felt even today, all PCs suffer a fear attack and become   frightened. The next attack, its #6
6 Fire Dragon. The living fire quickly takes the form of a terrible dragon made   by its flames, then it hurls itself at a player character, dealing 3d10   damage to him and 1d10 damage to everyone within 2 meters of him.

WORG (from Misty Vale campaign, not mine)
Ferocity: 1 Size: Normal. Movement: 20 Armor: — HP: 18
MONSTER ATTACKS: D6 ATTACK
1–2 Ravenous Howl! The worg lets out a ravenous howl. All player characters within 10 meters must make a WIL roll to resist fear. Immune 1 Shift if succeed.
3–4 Pounce! The raging worg pounces at a player character and presses them against the ground. The attack knocks them prone and inflicts 2D8 bludgeoning damage.
5–6 Worg Bite! The worg seizes the victim in its slavering maw and swings them back and forth. The attack inflicts 2D10 piercing damage and the victim is hurled 2 meters, landing prone.
